Not a formal assertion but protecting states' rights in Louisiana over the oil drilling moratorium. And so it goes in Shreveport.

10th amendment concerns on the stimulus, gun rights, cap and tax, ObamaCare, immigration and now drilling.

This is healthy pushback from the states responding to an unhealthy encroachment on our lives by Obama's Big Government.

Then there is Obama's decision to impose a six-month moratorium on deepwater oil drilling in the gulf. This penalizes companies with better safety records than BP's and will result in many advanced drilling rigs being sent to offshore oil fields abroad.
