Pigs at the public trough

This is what makes people mad:

Missouri retirement system to pay bonuses, despite having lost money. KC Star.

House Pencils in Millions for Jets the Air Force Did Not Request. Paying more than the sticker price. Air Congress. (Retreat after public outcry?)

More: DOT inspector general challenges O’s stimulus spending. Michelle Malkin.

P.S. Let me just add I have no objection to private planes per se, they are often the most cost-effective way to get around to areas not served by commercial jets, and provide jobs to people in Kansas and around the country. But I fail to see why Congress needs them at such a price, at such a time.
